If you are trying to lose weight but still need an easy, tasty snack, try making your own “homemade” microwave popcorn!  With this recipe, you will make your own popcorn, at a fraction of the cost of bagged popcorn at the store, without any of the trans-fats or unhealthy saturated fats.  Plus, it will only take about thirty seconds of additional effort!  Better yet, you can season it with some of these delicious seasoning ideas.

Microwave Popcorn

1/2 cup unpopped popcorn

1 tsp olive oil or canola oil


  1. Mix together the unpopped popcorn and oil.
  2. Pour the coated corn into a brown paper lunch sack.  Fold the top of the bag over twice to seal in the ingredients.
